Franklin says good by to Coach Marlee Webb

Varsity Assitant Coach Irene Falk
Irene Falk has been coaching girls basketball for fourteen years. In high school she played along side her sister Cathy Lee at Onate High School, where she also ran track and cross country. As a senior in high school Coach Falk qualified for state in track and basketball. She represented southern New Mexico in the North- South All Star basketball game and also received All District recognition. Irene continued her basketball career at Western New Mexico University and was a team captain all four years. She was a defensive specialist and led the Mustangs in steals per game for 3 of her 4 years. Irene stayed as a student assistant for a year at WMNU before earning a bachelor's degree in secondary education. She has been coaching along side Coach Webb for the last fourteen years winning the junior varsity district championship in five of seven years at Chapin High School and tying for district champs in 2015 at Franklin, she is now serving as Varsity Assistant. She strives to instill her love of basketball to Franklin High School. Coach Falk has four children, Lydia, Devin, Julien and Kailani.
Junior Varisty Coach Cathy Lee
Cathy Lee has been coaching girls basketball for twenty years. Before her coaching career began she was an integral part of two very successful high school programs. At Eastlake High School in San Diego, California she was a part of a CIF Regional Championship. As member of the Onate High School Basketball team in Las Cruces NM, she was an All District Basketball and Cross Country runner. Coach Lee graduated from New Mexico State University where she earned Academic Scholarships to pursue her degree in Secondary Education- English Language Arts. She led the Lady Husky Freshmen to a District Championship in four of her six years at Chapin. At Franklin, Coach Lee has set her sights on leading the freshman Lady Cougars to stellar seasons. She has since moved to the Junior Varsity coaching position and continues thrive as she has an infectious excitement and knowledge of the game. She is fiercely competitive and runs marathons in her spare time. Coach Lee has three young sons, Sammy Jr., Isaiah Raymond and Noah Eugene.
